CS1.6/CZ : How to install Plugins

This is a tutorial on how to install plugins on your server.

This is the method to do it on Counter-Strike 1.6 and Counter-Strike : Condition Zero, along with other Half-Life based games.


First thing you need to do is go to http://www.amxmodx.org/compiler.php and look for a plugin you want, make sure the plugin is for 1.6 or CZ.
If you are running a CZ Server, you can easily use any of the 1.6 plugins, therefore any CS Plugin you find can be used in Condition Zero (with the exception of Counter-Strike:Source, which is a game based on the Half-Life 2 Engine)

After you find your plugin make sure you download the .amxx file and the .sma file.

You will then need to open up your server panel, which can be located at
http://gs.eqhosting.com/Templates/Default/login.aspx

After that, go to File Manager and do the following:

Select czero, then select addons, then select amxmodx, then go to plugins.

After you have done that, on the top left you should click the icon that stands for file upload.

When you have done that a new window will pop up, where u will choose which file you want to upload from your computer, browse to the folder you put in the .amxx file and upload that file ONLY.

After you have done that click the little 3 dots "..." to go back to the amxmodx folder.

After you are put back in the amxmodx folder, choose scripting and then upload the .sma file. Then click on the little 3 dots "..." and after you have been put back in the amxmodx folder again go ahead and choose config.

If you are in the config folder now, make sure you find the plugins file (plugins.ini) and then click on the white select-field and then choose "Edit"

Now that you are editing the plugins.ini file, go ahead and scroll all the way down, there you should put down the name of the .amxx file.

So if I had a plugin that I downloaded, and the name of it was parachute.amxx I would put down parachute.amxx in the plugins file.

That's it.

Now restart your server and you're ready to go.
